If you have ever wanted drum lessons or wondered how to learn to drum, you have come to the right place.
Elite Music has a dedicated drum room where you will learn on the top-of-the-line Rolland drum kits.
Sit side by side with your drum teacher and watch and learn to play.
What you will learn
You will learn to play the drums, read drum tabs, music, and notation charts. You will learn songs that you love and exercises specifically designed to increase your learning and physical strength. You will develop your ear, this is the ability to hear a song or riff and quickly work out and understand what is being played.
Learn Songs
Learning how to play songs is a great way to learn how to play the drums. There are millions of amazing songs written so chosing the songs that you love most is so important.
Practice Scales
Scales are the foundation of every piece of music ever written. Either including the scale in full or a variation of it, having a solid understanding as you play is the key to the full and rich enjoyment of a drum kit.
Online Learning Available
With the world changing fast, we offer online lessons that intergrate directly with your student portal. Your lesson is still with your teacher, at the normal time. If you need to go into lockdown we can quickly switch to online on a week to week basis.
Write Music
You can work with your teacher on writing original fills, riffs, grooves, and songs. Having a solid understanding of the theory that music is based on gives you the power and knowledge to create your own work. You can take lessons to learn how to be a songwritter
Read Charts
When you play in a band the drummers are usually given a chart to play along to. It’s important that you can read and follow these. Our teachers work with you on understanding how to read and write these.
Play in a band
Timing, feel, groove, riffs are the way you communicate what you feel with the rest of the band whilst playing music. There is much more to playing the drums than just playing the song. Work with your teacher to learn how to express YOUR style.

Learning the drums is an amazing skill to take. Drums are rewarding in many ways. Learning a new skill keeps you learning and thinking. Elite Music doesn’t take a bulk payment out of your account. We are a Pay As You Go Studio. Lessons are paid for each week. We don’t close during the year, we are open all year through.
