Our vocal lessons work on developing the complete musician. A focus on theory in the way we talk throughout our lessons. Students learn through kinesthetic movement, as well as visual and aural activities to cater for all styles of learning.
Students learn to read music and understand melody, harmony while developing all the essential musical foundations of beat, rhythm, music reading and aural skills.

Classical and Opera Singing Lessons

Classical and opera singing is a beautiful and challenging style of singing, and requires highly developed vocal technique, specialist knowledge and experienced instruction. At Elite Music, these lessons are designed for students who want to develop the control, strength and musical understanding required for classical repertoire and operatic performance.

Students are guided through the essential foundations of classical voice, including breath support, posture, resonance, tone production, vocal placement, projection and healthy vocal development. Lessons also explore diction, phrasing, interpretation and the pronunciation of languages commonly used in classical and operatic repertoire.

Training is tailored to each student’s age, experience, vocal development and individual goals. Students may be preparing for examinations, auditions, HSC performances, tertiary study or simply pursuing a passion for classical singing.

Alongside vocal technique, students develop a deeper understanding of music theory, sight-reading, melody, harmony, rhythm and aural skills. Careful repertoire selection allows each singer to build confidence while developing the technical ability and artistic expression needed to perform challenging works.

Elite Music’s classical and opera teachers are professional musicians with the specialised training, performance experience and knowledge required to guide singers through this demanding style of music. Students receive expert support in developing their voice, selecting appropriate repertoire and preparing for performances, auditions and further musical study.
